Paris Marathon Training: Week 18 of 18
Today’s target run: 36 minutes
Today’s completed run: 36 minutes
Identified as one of Europe’s most beautiful palaces, the Texans next trek through through the snow to Schloss Nymphenburg, located on the outskirts of Munich. Originally built in 1663-1664 as an Italianate villa, numerous extensions were added up through 1715, thus creating the current palace we saw during our tour.
Not only was the palace interior quite beautiful, but there was a wonderful porcelain museum and royal carriage museum as well as extensive grounds of Nymphenburg Park and the smaller pavilions that warranted a quick look. Due to the lingering snowfall, our tour of the palace grounds was minimal but the views were spectacular…even in the snow.

Note: I won’t bore you with the all photos of the palace interiors; however for those of you who are into those kinds of things, please check out the URL below, and then click on the Texas Tour Germany photo album. It should be the first one up (http://www.flickr.com/photos/haryoung/sets/).
