On the twelfth day of Christmas...

...we decorated our cute little Christmas UK tree, albeit it with our German Christmas ornaments, as our first ever London Christmas tree.  We were able to find a quite narrow tree that fit comfortably in our dining room.

Normally, we decorate our artifical tree, the one procured in Taiwan, with ornaments from all over the world.  This tree has travelled the globe with us but was sadly too big for our home in London (yes, those narrow reception rooms strike again!) Enter a "real" tree.

When we tried to think back to the last time we put up a real Christmas tree, we had to go back to before 1995 to remember, and even then we could not be sure.  Suffice to say it has been a long time.  It is amazing what a little decorated tree can do to brighten up Christmas!

Let the shopping and gift wrapping games begin.
