The Contentin Peninsula

As we rounded the tip of the northwest corner of France, we made our way through some lovely little harbour towns located along the Contentin Peninsula. Nothing in the way of major sights to check out, churches or museums to visit, or historic events occurred in this area. Rather, it was simply the quaint little towns we drove through where we would stop for lunch, a brief walk through an inviting little French village that would beckon us, or simply the breathtaking views we enjoyed… that really is what this area is all about.

Barfleur…

… followed by St-Vaast-la-Hougue.

Followed by a brief stop in THE town to buy copper pots, Villedieu-les-Poules. Who am I kidding? Those who know and love me understand why I ask this question, “ And why do I need these?”
