Norman countryside
As we drove through Normandy, we were struck by two very common sightings: the spotted cattle traditional to the area (we don’t have these freckled face guys in Texas), and the Norman stone house. The houses were everywhere. They are so commonplace that one becomes immune to their charm; whether large or small; each dwelling displayed brightly colored shutters, tons of window boxes full of flowers, or gardens spilling their glowers and vegetable across fences. Made me wish I was a painter…
My husband, Buddy, and I, have just moved to London, after living abroad for 11 years. After moving 6 times in 11 years, you'd think we'd have this expat thing down. Our furry feline, Missy, is the sole child these days but we still have some feline babies back in Texas.
