...the handles inside the tube cars (carriages as they say in the UK) are colored coded to match the tube line that the train runs on...green for District, yellow for Circle, blue for Piccadilly????

Don't feel bad. I've been riding the tube for 4 years and hadn't looked that closely to pick up that tidbit. I just knew that the tube maps inside each one were customised to the train line. But that didn't help me when I accidentally jumped on a Circle line when I meant to jump on a District Line the other day! Tube adventures...
Breaking news...an observation from my 2 hour journey via tube today...on the Jubilee line (Gray on the tube map) there were yellow handles...Curious indeed.
so much for that theory!
