It was at this point that I could tell that winter was just around the corner. It was just downright cold as we spent the last day and a half of our tour in the Lake Maggiore resort town of Stresa (very close to Lake Como).
Make this location now the third place in Italy that we want to return, although, let's plan on visiting it during resort season next time when things are open.
While most of our tour group headed to Swtizerland for shopping (been there, done that), Buddy and explored the towns of Stresa and Arona, as well as Lake Maggiore and the Borromean Islands.
Lake Maggiore - fog descended on us again.
Isola Bella - the island, palace, as well as tiny alleyways.
Holly on Isola Belle (Isola Pescatori is behind me).
Isola Pescatori
The lakeside city of Arona...its churches, town square, and local architecture.
