Yes, we did take a gondola ride...

A gondola ride is mainly for the tourists. I know that. Still, I was looking rather forward to the experience of a romantic gondola ride with the Budman. Just the two of us. Sadly, that experience will have to be for our return trip.

Still, we did have a fun gondola ride with many of our tour members, complete with singing Italians.

PS - I am actually in the gondola, but none of the photos of me turned out. Bummer!











PSS - "our" gondolier actually clobbered himself in the head going through one of the smaller canals. Apparently, he did not duck low enough under one of the footbridges. Man, that has to hurt. That's what he gets for not wearing his cute gondolier hat!
